Matthew Kyle Simcox is a Longview native, proud to call his hometown home again. Matthew graduated as a Lobo from Longview High School in 1998.
He then went west to Abilene to attend Abilene Christian University where he majored in Political Science. After four years there, he graduated Magna Cum Laude. By then, Matthew had decided to go to law school. Accepted by Baylor Law School, he moved to Waco to begin his legal studies. During his legal education, Matthew worked at a local credit union, got married and became active in his local church.
After law school, Matthew moved to Georgetown, Texas to work for a criminal defense and family law firm.
In May 2006, Matthew took a job at the Smith County DA’s Office as a misdemeanor prosecutor. In May 2007, Matthew seized an opportunity to make it back home after almost ten years when he took a job with the Gregg County DA’s Office also as a prosecutor. Between the two counties he disposed of hundreds of cases through both negotiation or jury trial.
Matthew established his private practice law firm in September 2008.
On a personal note, Matthew is a happily married man and father of two. The family attends Fellowship Bible Church. Matthew’s faith is very important to him, and he seeks to honor Christ in both his personal and professional lives. He prays for every client and every case that he gets, and would be happy to pray with you over your case.
