Personal Injury

Personal Injury is a broad term to describe a case in which a party or parties have suffered bodily injury as a result of another’s negligence, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.  These cases could be auto accidents, medical malpractice, premises liability, construction or workplace accidents.  There easily could be others.

People injured as a result of someone else’s conduct have a right to be compensated by the culpable party.  It’s called restitution.  Once you were whole, and then you were injured.  We want to get you back to as close to whole as you can be.

For purposes of brevity on our website, we have included these case types under the general heading of “Personal Injury” that might not actually involve personal injury:

  • Auto Accidents
  • Defective Products
  • Wrongful Death
  • Premises Liability
  • Workplace Accidents
  • Medical Malpractice
  • Deceptive Trade Practices
  • Property Damage
  • Other – just call us to set up an initial consultation

Accidents can turn a person’s life upside-down.  On top of the injury itself, which could take a long time, if ever, to recover from, you face hospital bills, doctor bills, loss of income, medications and physical therapy.  You can be awarded these damages.  For those injuries that never fully heal, you can recover for future pain and suffering.  For those injuries that do heal, you can be compensated for the pain and suffering you experienced while you recovered.

A lot of times (particularly in auto accidents), a police report is filed, the parties go about their business and the insurance companies handle it all.  But, if you are hurt, it doesn’t hurt to get an attorney’s advice regarding whether to proceed further than the police report.  Insurance companies are notorious for rejecting claims or for low-balling good claims.  After all, they are looking out for their bottom line and not looking out for you.  If they can get you to walk away for pennies on the dollar of what you deserve, they will do it.  Don’t let them get away with it.

At the Law Office of Matthew K. Simcox, we do not charge you any fees to take your personal injury case.  We only collect if you do.  So, you have nothing to lose to set up an initial consultation.  Come see us and be assured that you have a compassionate advocate looking out for you and yours.
